Hierarchy
At user level: If “Requires approval for leave requests” is set to “No” - then all leave requests will be auto approved. (Used for people who do not need approval at all - usually senior management)
Under Leave types: If “Requires approval for leave requests” is set to “Yes” - then all leave requests of this particular leave type alone will be auto approved.
(Used for leave types that does not need to go through an approval path. Used sometimes for sick leave or military leave or compensatory off depending on company's policies)
Administrator level settings - Auto approve: Only if the administrator or whoever has permission checks off the “Auto approve leave request” while making a leave request - that particular leave request alone will be auto approved. (Used only in cases where administrator has permission to auto approve a leave request while entering the request in PlanMyLeave itself. Usually used when entering leaves that have already been taken or in cases where the employee does not come to the office due to illness etc.)
